The Garden Show & Spring Festival, the ‘Lebanese outdoor way of life’ event took place from 28 May to 1st June 2013 at the Beirut Hippodrome.
The Garden Show & Spring Festival, the ‘Lebanese outdoor way of life’ event took place from 28 May to 1st June 2013 at the Beirut Hippodrome. This year marked the tenth edition of this event that gathers more than 25,000 buyers and garden lovers every year.

Under the theme of “Water, Source of Life” all sectors from the art of gardening to the plant markets were well represented. Coincidentally, food was no exception, and a variety of events with renowned chefs were scheduled in collaboration with the magazine Taste and Flavors.

On this occasion, Chef Maroun Chedid was invited by the magazine to have a live cooking presentation on their booth. The live presentation was scheduled for Saturday May 31st, at 6.30pm. The chef captivated onlookers with his famous ‘Sea and Land Risotto’, and as a result, the hippodrome was filled with fragrant chorizo and delicious seafood cooking with the rice in white wine. The incredible combination of the meat with the fish makes this one of Chef Maroun’s signature dishes.
